Laboratory for Image and Media Understanding

Our Laboratory conducts research on the analysis and utilization of learning and educational data, time-series data analysis, and image and media understanding. Through data analytics and AI technologies, we aim to develop new approaches that contribute to understanding and supporting people and society.

  1. Three full papers and four short papers were accepted for ICCE 2026.
  2. One paper was accepted for ECML PKDD 2026.
  3. One paper was accepted for ICML 2026.
  4. One full paper and one short paper were accepted for AIED 2026.

Prospective Students

Master’s Program

Applicants should take the entrance examination for the Department of Information Science and Technology. Please refer to the Graduate School website for admission requirements and procedures. We do not accept research students prior to the entrance examination.

Doctoral Program

Prospective doctoral students should contact their preferred supervisor by email before applying. Please attach materials describing your academic background, previous research, publication and conference presentation record, and the research you would like to pursue during the doctoral program.

Research Students

We do not accept applications for research student positions. Please note that we are also unable to respond to individual inquiries regarding admission as a research student.
